Rules and tips

ExcaliburWoW exercises a "good faith" practice. This means any situation that is deemed inappropriate, disrespectful and illegal; that is NOT listed on this rules list is still subject to an Administrative decision for action. This clause also covers any loopholes found in the rules that are still deemed illegal by a GM. The rules below, if broken, will get you Officially warned, possibly Kicked, Muted, temporarily Banned, or get other temporary physical Limitations cast upon your character. Some broken rules might even get you permanently Banned/IP Banned.

Useful Tips

CHANNELS(You can join these by typing '/join ')
'gmhelp' - If you've got questions about the game, or if you need the help of a Game Master.
'world' - Chat channel, to communicate with everyone around the world.

When you type .save, you save your character. In case of a server reboot, you will not have lost stuff.

Behaviour and language in channels

1. The use of offensive words is forbidden. Including, but not limited to, unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically content.
2. Do not "Spam" by posting frequent and/or annoying messages in the official channels.
3. Do not post sentences or full words in caps. Caps are capital letters, either acquired by pressing shift or pressing shift lock.
4. The 'World' channel is English only. If you like to speak your own language, create your own channel (e.g. 'worldnl', 'worldde', 'worldpl').

Behaviour ingame

1. Killing low level players is allowed, but it is considered lame and will get you hated by everyone.
2. You are allowed to attack cities from the other faction.
3. Do not constantly beg other players for items or gold.
4. Do not impersonate any person including, but not limited to, a Game Master or Administrator.
5. If you find a bug, report it on our forums. Do never abuse bugs.
6. Do not try to hack or crash our server. This will result in a permanent ban.
7. Do not encourage cheating during game play including, but not limited to, the modification of the game program files.
8. The use of cheats/exploits is strictly forbidden. You'll be instantly banned for this, permanently. Without prior warning or explanation and at the sole discretion of our team.
9. Swapping honor/arena points is considered lame and bugabuse. Don't do it.

Attitude towards GMs

1. Respect the other players/GM's, treat them the same way you wish to be treated!
2. If you've got questions, join 'gmhelp', don't send whispers to the GM's. If there isn't a GM online, perhaps other players can help you too.
3. Don't ask GM's where the mobs are located, where you can find quests or any other kind of nonsense. If you have trouble finding mobs look at http://wow.allakhazam.com or http://www.thottbot.com!
4. GM's can't read/speak all the languages in the world, ask things in English or the language that the GM speaks (Mostly Dutch too, but some of them also speak Spanish. Look at the staff list for this.).
5. Do not ask GM's for items, skills or gold, unless it's for a bugged quest, talent or spell.
